Community First Yorkshire are holding a funding fair on 7 June 2018.  This is an opportunity for those with ideas to support cycling to enquire about funding their project.

Community First Yorkshire staff will be on hand to offer expert advice in securing funding and volunteers for your local project.

Funders include:

Ryedale District Council, BIG Lottery Fund, Two Ridings Community Foundation, North Yorkshire County Council Stronger Communities, and The Sir George Martin Trust.

The cycle forum mascots will be out to watch the Tour de Yorkshire come through Kirkbymoorside on Saturday.  Created to raise awareness of the need for investment in cycle provision in Ryedale, they’ll be located around the primary school where the race comes into the town.  Come and say hello if you see them!

From Sunday 20 May 2018, if you’re travelling with Transpennine Express and would like to take your bike on board, you’ll need to reserve a space for it in advance.

There are some proposals from Ryedale District Council and North Yorkshire County Council to improve public transport connectivity and cycle access at Malton, and to reduce traffic congestion.  To get to the background information and the survey, click here. The survey closes on 16th May. 

The cycle forum are looking for design ideas for a bumper/windscreen sticker to incorporate safety messages. Can you help, or do you know someone who might help?
