Artist Clare Nattress is inviting voluntary participants to become ‘citizen scientists’ and assist her with the collection of ambient air pollution / matter from the environment for her PhD research at Leeds Beckett University. Clare would like participants to collect air pollution / matter via the method of attaching a Perspex disc (backed with clear adhesive tape) to the front of their bicycles / backpacks. This will be left on their bicycles or backpacks during their daily commutes and/or activities undertaken either by bicycle or on foot for at least 2 weeks.
If you would like to be a part of this PhD research, an Ethics form will be sent to you to read and sign along with the research pack pictured. This will explain the process of collection and setup.
Please email nattressclare@hotmail.co.uk if you would like to take part in this valuable research project and be a part of her next artwork and PhD thesis.
