Cycling resources for Ryedale, North Yorkshire
Please make time to comment on the “Variation of conditions” via NYC Planning portal or by emailing planning.rye@northyorks.gov.uk Ref number ZE24/00421/73AM
Points to highlight in your comments include:
-object to proposed delay in opening of cycle path link. It will enable cycle access for users of the new development as each chalet is completed, and for several existing facilities such as Black Bull Caravan Park.
-object to removal of public space, because this might indicate lack of intention to install cycle path. Also, public rest spaces enroot, enable and encourage leisure cycling.
-suggest that a cycle hire facility is kept as a planning condition, as there is no current cycle hire in Pickering
-mention that a Park and Ride facility would reduce traffic and air pollution in Pickering, and could also support cycle and e-bike hire
