Would you support the idea of Ryedale’s Environmental Group and Ryedale Cycle Forum joining forces to form a Charity, to raise funds for active travel and environment projects?
I think this is a great idea, as the objective of promoting cycling is closely allied to the environmental impact this could have. In addition there are wider issues related to environmentally sustainable tourism in Ryedale that a joint forum based on a CIO would surely be able to contribute a greater influence on.
Providing we can find suitable people to work as Trustees, I don’t have an objection to a CIO. I’m particularly interested in finding young people for this role.
The issue of active travel and other environmental lifestyle change needs urgent attention.
