New cycling facilities at Malton train station

27 June 2018 by Admin

New secure cycle parking facilities have been installed at Malton train station, in a partnership between TransPennine Express, North Yorkshire County Council and Ryedale District Council.

Providing an 25 per cent uplift compared to the previous facility, the new 48 space shelter offers cycle parking in a secure area covered by CCTV. The racks have been positioned on the main platform at Malton station with easy step free access provided.

The new cycle racks are designed to encourage customers of train services to cycle to the station rather than drive, helping to reduce road congestion in the Malton and Norton area.
